it is since et.G_Printf gives an error while priniting a nil or funtion variable. au trues to convert variables yes but if it cant my scriot will try to avoud errors. its specialy hnady for debuging if u expect a variale tobe something wile it is stil nil or something --2good

the builtin function tostring can also be used if you think a var is going to be something like nil or another non-printable value. I tend to print things as G_Printf("%s[%s]",type(somevar),tostring(somevar)) ReyalP 13:33, 16 November 2005 (PST)
