Why don't make it like the regionCode in standalone DVD-Players. Let them change, hmm lets say,  5 times, then keep the current setting until they die.

Some people feel that B_placebo should require a vid_restart, or even a full game restart after changes, to prevent abuse (see Placebo Scripts). Discuss.
