Some people feel that B_placebo should require a vid_restart, or even a full game restart after changes, to prevent abuse (see Placebo Scripts). Discuss.

I think that simply delaying the change should be sufficient, as usually even those who use Placebo Scripts want b_placebo on 90% of the time. It's just a few points in time where they need to quickly switch it off that is the problem. Delaying it would nullify any abuses I can think of. Another thing may be to make it only server-side. And to prevent it from being changed without users noticing after a map change or warm-up ends, there could be either a visual or audio indication as to b_placebo status.
